The Global Tourism Plastics Initiative has published recommendations on how the industry can continue fighting plastic pollution during the COVID-19 recovery

Green Hospitality also runs the Plastic Smart GREENMark.

This is a programme designed to place the Irish Hospitality & Tourism Sector at the forefront of the War Against Plastic and show that the sector is not alone concerned about its environmental responsibilities but willing to take direct actions to reduce its impact.

It also supports the UNWTO Global Tourism Plastics Initiative, European Commission Single Use Plastics Directive and the IHF & REPAK Pledge on Plastic Packaging Waste.
