Savour Food Website

The new online tool will serve as an invaluable resource for businesses who wish to take steps to reduce food waste and measure their progress in doing so. Reaching out to new audiences will further generate local interest and capacity around food waste prevention and reduction. The Savour Food e-tool has been tested with industry stakeholders and has been launched locally in Kilkenny as part of Savour Kilkenny Food Festival which moved online for 2020.

A press release and bespoke video were developed to accompany its promotion. The video is now featured on the Savour Kilkenny Youtube channel (at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UywMeceVxs&t=2s) and related social media accounts (including Savour Kilkenny Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and social media platforms of Kilkenny County Council) and on the Savour Food website. A blogpost was prepared for the website featuring food waste advice from Darina Allen. Keelin Tobin from the project team also spoke to Denise Maguire for an article in Food & Catering Review.
