Green Festivals & Events – Registration

Recognition Programme

The Green Festivals & Events Programme (GFEP) is supported by the EPA and Fáilte Ireland and is designed to provide a structure and guidelines for festivals and events that wish to adopt a responsible approach to their festival and a methodology which allows them to communicate this process within their festival and externally to all stakeholders.  Green Festivals & Events is a subsidiary programme within the Programme

To this end organising committees will be required to pay an initial membership fee followed by an annual fee if the festival is re-occurring.  This fee is designed to manage the administrative costs of supporting the festival/event within the greener festivals programme. (There is also a location based membership fee covering multiple festivals/events organised through the same body – contact GHP directly to discuss this option)

GFEP recognises that festivals/events may also need further assistance and support to adopt a “Greener” profile and direct support can be provided, if required.  Please contact GFEP for associated costs at

The annual membership fee will cover the following

-          Membership of GFEP

-          Website recognition – on the and the websites

-          Use of the GFEP logos – for use on marketing literature ect.

-          Green Folder

-          Access to online advice from a Greener Festivals & Event specialist

Regional Festivals/Events                                            €150

National Festivals/Events                                            €250


Joining the Green Festivals & Events Programme

When completed please email/post it to and we will issue an Invoice. On receipt of payment your Festival/Event will be registered and documentation and a copy of our logo will be sent to you.
