GHP made a submission to the Tourism Taskforce which focused on how we can embed environmental sustainability within our recovery. The submission also focused on the new Programme for Government and the challenges facing the sector – especially with respect to Climate Action and the requirement of the sector to reduce its Carbon Emissions by 7% per annum for the next decade.

This is a huge challenge and we will need substantial support from government to assist us here. The Tourism Sector needs to start leading, as opposed to taking instruction only.
